Painting or drawing can get messy sometimes, especially for younger tots. Our walls at home would once in a while have markers on them, handprints and taped papers with scribbles. Messy as it may be, kids should not be stopped doing so.

Painting at an early age gives children the capability to recognize colors as they choose what colors to paint with. They see how combining the primary colors (red, blue, and yellow) create other colors.

Painting also becomes an outlet for kids to express their emotions that they can not easily speak out. Stroking, or simlply having to hold the brush practices their motoring skills...they learn how to do darker tones or paint lightly in the process.

Its good to have coloring books but blank papers give them more space for creativity. Who knows, your kid will someday join the ranks of Van Gogh or Monet when honed early. =)

It's my first day of school. Well, yesterday. I got my Disney Princess Schultüte that mom filled with schoolthings and sweets.

I was supposed to be a grade one student as per the school director's advice but mom decided to let me attend the pre-school class. I can read and write now but she thought it's still early. School will be now a part of my life and I'll enjoy it along with play, teachers, new friends and learning.

One of the disadvantages of wearing a skirt is: you can't move freely with it...good thing I was wearing leggings under it so I can still move the way I want to. :D

Today we went back to the Donauinsel (by the Danube river) and rode the Liliputbahn. It is a miniature (steam) railway that will take you around the donauinsel (but not wholly).

Another interesting feature at the Donauinsel would be the big chess pieces where those interested could play. I hope someday I'd be able to play there...that is, I need to practice playing chess.

Spring it is! The sunny skies says so but the winds are still strong so when we went out for a walk by the river, we still need to wear a thin jacket. Mom got me this knitted pullover from H&M last winter and I really love how it's being white is easy to pair with other clothes.

I unfortunately do not have a solo photo this time...see my little brother was running behind me and I'm holding my cousin's hand.

The shades has since been a favorite accesory...of mom at least but I think it does look cute, what do you think?

I'm not the typical, sharp-nosed girl who would wear shades...like mom my nose doesn't have that perfect bridge...but she keeps telling me that mine is a lot better now because when I was small, my nose was really flat. My oma would joke back then that she would save 1€ everyday so that when I'm grown I can have it done under the knife. :P

Mom got this from Claire's for a measly 4,50€!  Good thing they match my nose perfectly!

This was a warm Friday morning on the way to the Kindergarten. The bag contains my flute which I was learning then at the Kiga. The photo was taken sometime in May and was printed for the November- December issue of Moms and Babies.

I enjoy wearing this dress-shirt, mom said I looked a bit fat because of the striped design... :D

Meet my younger brothers, D & C. Mom says I look exactly like D when I was a baby but as I grew up and the boys too, C resembles me a lot more now. Both my brothers are naughty at times, and they tell me they aren't and that I am the one who's naughty, we'll ask mom!
